Recipes for Lemonade Stands for your kids
These recipes are fun and easy for you and your kids to enjoy a fun Spring weekend together
Perfect Lemonade
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
Simmer until sugar dissolves completely to make simple syrup
Once cool, pour into a pitcher
Add 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
Add 2-3 cups of cold water to taste
Chill for half an hour and serve over ice
Festive Garnishes to add
– Orange slices for pop of color
– Sprig of rosemary
– Cherries
– Strawberries
– Lemons (of course)
Make Lemon Simple Syrup
1. Cut the bright yellow peel of 1 lemon, avoiding the bitter white pith, and set aside.
2. Combine 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar in a saucepan
3. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer until syrup has thickened for about 10 minutes
4. Add lemon zest and transfer to a bowl to cool for 20 minutes
5. Strain syrup and discard zest and transfer to clean bottle
6. Sweeten lemonades, teas and drizzle it over baked goods
*Can be stored for up to 6 months
