Meet your hygienists at Welch Dental Group

Maintaining optimum oral health is our primary goal here at Welch Dental Group. Here at our Katy dental practice, we often educate our patients that there’s no “one-size-fits-all” dental treatment and we have the staff to fit each of our patient’s needs. Some patients may need to visit our dental practice twice a year while some may need to see us every three months- either way we are happy to see you every time. Here are a few of our staff and a little about them. We are happy to introduce:

Born in Bay City, Texas, Dianna graduated from Wharton County Junior College in 2001. She has been a hygienist with Welch Dental Group since 2004, treating patients of all ages and all hygiene needs. She has been married for 41 years, and together they have 2 children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. In her spare time, she loves playing with her dog, enjoying time with her family and keeping cool in the Texas heat by floating in the swimming pool.

Torie obtained her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Wharton County Junior College in 2011. She joined Welch Dental Group in 2012. Taking care of her patients’ smiles and providing the best dental experience is top priority. When outside of the office, she enjoys being outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with family.

Heather received her degree in Dental Hygiene in 2003 from the University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston, and became a dedicated and trustworthy member of Welch Dental Group in 2008. She enjoys educating her patients on their individual oral health needs, and her goal is to make every patient feel comfortable throughout their entire visit. Heather and her husband, Tim, have 3 children. In her free time, she stays busy with running her children from activity to activity. She loves the outdoors, sports, cooking, animals, home projects, and quality time with her family.

Crystal began her career as a dental assistant in 2001. Her passion for dentistry and desire to teach others of the importance of good oral hygiene led her to study dental hygiene. In 2007, she obtained an Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Wharton County Junior College. To help her patients feel more comfortable during treatment, she is also certified in nitrous oxide monitoring. Joining Welch Dental Group in 2014, she quickly became a valued member of the team. She enjoys crafting, reading and spending time with her family.

Alexis graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016. She has worked at Welch Dental Group since 2017. At work, she enjoys visiting with her patients and building relationships with them to allow them to have the best visit possible. In her free time, Alexis enjoys spending time with her friends, family and dogs. She loves a good book and trying new restaurants.

Stephanie originates from Marysville, Michigan. She began her dental career by graduating from Baker College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. In 2008, she relocated to Katy, Texas. She maintains membership in a study club for continued dental hygiene education. Her focus is to provide her patients with a comfortable and gentle experience. Her goal is to provide quality care and oral hygiene education to achieve optimal oral health. She has two grown children and two grandchildren and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Paula graduated from the University of Kansas in 1986 with a BS in Organismal Biology. She furthered her education at Lamar University In Beaumont, Texas with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1988. Paula has been a valued member of the team at Welch Dental Group since 2010. She continues to enjoy a fulfilling career in dental hygiene. Bringing a smile to her patients by promoting positive changes in their oral health, developing relationships with her patients and making a difference in their lives is what motivates her. Paula maintains annual continuing education courses and is certified in nitrous oxide monitoring in order to bring comfort to her patients during their dental cleaning. She also volunteers at the community Women’s Shelter. She has a loving husband (who is a first responder), and two beautiful daughters – one studies nursing and the other keeps the family busy with Select Softball.
