Halloween is all of Texas’ sigh of relief that cooler weather is coming. We did a little searching for you all and found some cool things in and around Cypress for you to do during the start of our cooler weather adventures.

Houston Halloween Events basically has all holiday events in and near our areas, so we took a few of the ones they have listed and … listed them out for you:

Haunted Hues
September 6 – November 3, 2025
The Color Factory 

From September 6 through November 3, Color Factory is welcoming ghosts and goblins of all ages to experience “Haunted Hues”! The immersive experience is a limited-time BOO-tacular event. Experience the happily haunted transformation of Color Factory’s interactive installations and colorful rooms with ghoulishly delightful new sweets to nibble, Instagram-worthy photo opportunities, pumpkin decorating and a yummy partnership with Juiceland. “Haunted Hues” offers all treats—no tricks—this Halloween season.

Halloween Sip & Stroll
October 30, 2025 | 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Houston Arboretum & Nature Center 

Enjoy a twilight hike on the Arboretum trails. Your spooky stroll will include a curated nature hike, two glasses of wine or Saint Arnold beer, and festive bites. Get your tickets today for a meet-and-greet with the Arboretum’s ambassador animals, then head out on your hike to spot critters along the route. This event is reserved for guests ages 21+.

Houston Pumpkin Festival
September 20 – November 2, 2025
Discovery Green 

Bounce into fall fun at the Houston Pumpkin Festival! The incredibly festive experience at Discovery Green is back and bringing the farmland to Downtown Houston. Fun for the whole family awaits, including the world’s largest bouncy pumpkin (roughly 2,000 sq. ft.), a massive corn pit, 50+ pumpkin varieties, photo ops galore, crystal kayaks with glowing LEDs, bumper boats, slides, games, and more! he Houston Zoo invites all little ghouls and goblins to celebrate fall festivities during its month-long Zoo Boo presented by King & Spalding. From Sept. 26 to Oct. 31 guests can wear their best costumes for Houston’s favorite merry-not-scary Halloween event. Enjoy the zoo’s Carved Pumpkins sponsored by Frost Bank, Pumpkin Tree sponsored by Open Water, and animal-themed Peek-a-Boo Pumpkins. Photo ops galore and endless fun await at Zoo Boo, so plan your trip today!

Galaxy Frights
October 18 & 19 and October 25 & 26
Space Center Houston 

Space-inspired Halloween fun awaits you and your crew at Space Center Houston at Galaxy Frights. Every year in October, Space Center Houston transforms into a launchpad for space-themed Halloween fun. Transport the whole family to explore the wonders of space–with a spooky twist! Show off your Halloween costumes and enjoy special activities. Bring your littlest space explorers to trick-or-treat at multiple candy stations throughout Space Center Houston. Boo on the Boardwalk
Weekends in October, 2025
Kemah Boardwalk 

Have some fun on the boardwalk with the whole family this October! Freaky Fridays, Scary Saturdays, and Spooky Sundays are all on the menu at “Boo on the Boardwalk”. The annual event is back and as hauntingly fun as ever. Every weekend is packed with activities, live music, and trick-or-treating at stores on the boardwalk. Get witchy with it!

Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Costume Contest
October 26, 2025 | 2:30 p.m.
Levy Park Conservancy 

The annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Costume Contest presented by H-E-B is back on October 26, kicking off at 2:30 p.m. at Levy Park! The event will kick off with a pup parade around the park, followed by a costume contest, in which contestants will strut the “runway” for the chance to win pup-tastic prizes. Celebrate howl-oween with your furry friends!

Frightfully Fun! A Halloween Concert for Kids
November 1, 2025 | 10 a.m. & 11 a.m.
Houston Symphony 

Bring your little ghosts and goblins to Jones Hall for a morning of family fun as a haunted Symphony full of costumed musicians perform frightful delights from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Godzilla, Disney’s Aladdin, and more. Plus, enjoy free candy stations, Halloween-themed arts and crafts, and an Instrument Petting Zoo. Costumes encouraged and tickets are available for purchase here.

Houston Scream Fest
Every Friday & Saturday | October 3 – November 8 (& October 30)

The Houston Scream Fest is more than a haunted house; it’s a month-long festival. Shoot at walking-dead zombies with paintball markers, try to escape the asylum, scream your way through the castle of doom, and more. Also, enjoy live music and freak show performances. Open rain or shine, visit this epic Halloween haunted immersive adventure if you dare!

Haunted Trails
October 3 – 5, 10 – 12, 17 – 19, 23 – 26, 30 – 31; November 1, 2025

A new trail and hayride are features of this year’s new and improved Haunted Trails in Old Town Spring! Head out to the Haunted Trails and board a hay wagon to the edge of the dark woods. There you will be left to walk a trail that is full of mortifying scenes, frightening creatures, and the spirits that haunt Old Town Spring. The historical railroad hub dates back to the 1800s and is considered to be one of the most haunted towns in Texas. There’s no better time to face your fears than this Halloween season!

Houston Terror Dome 
Weekends and Various Dates in September – November, 2025

The Houston Terror Dome has more to offer than just a haunted house! Fun for the whole family including ax throwing, paintball shooting gallery, a pumpkin patch that sells pumpkins, 3 escape rooms, a selfie saloon where you can take pictures surrounded by scary props, and Carnival Style games of skill where your success wins prizes. Don’t forget to stop by the Haunted Bar, serving beer and wine to customers 21+. Cap off your trip with a visit to the gift shop selling Terror Dome merchandise and Halloween oddities and collectibles.
